Gate Fold Invitation

I have to give a huge shout out to the lovely Chrissie for this set! I was starting to lose inspiration for colour combo's and put a shoutout on SCS which Chrissie generously answered with not only the colour scheme from her wedding but she also shared pictures of the beautiful invitations she created for the big day. So, Chrissie, the C & K on this invitation are for you!
This set includes a Gate Fold Invitation, Thank You notecard & Reception Menu. One trick my friend Em shared with me once was since the Metallic Cardstock is pricey for doing large projects with, if you emboss in Silver EDP and then use the Going Grey cardstock the embossing will give the cardstock a more silver look and you've saved yourself a fortune!

Trifold Invitation

Another set for my invitation portfolio. This set includes a Trifold Invitation, Place Card & Save the Date Card. This set is using the colour scheme from Justin's cousins wedding we went to earlier this year, they had gorgeous pale pink bridesmaid dresses with brown trim.
I would like to say with this set that I'm only claiming to be a cardmaker not a calligrapher, the bride & groom would either need to organise their own calligraphy or get me to print them off the computer, but I wanted to show that there is the handwritten option available.
Stamps: Together Forever, Baroque Motifs, Short Order Alphabet, Please Come
Ink: Versamark, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Silver EDP, Chocolate Chip Taffeta

Nick & Carmen's wedding

Remember last month when I made the wedding card for my brother-in-law and his (now) wife's wedding? Well anyway, our gift for the wedding was their invitations so when I went to put the card in the envelope the day before the wedding it looked a bit plain without being attached to a gift so I decided to dress up the envelope a little. It took less than 5 minutes but it makes it look so much more than just a card.
I also thought I'd put in some pic's from the big day. The got married in the garden of a friends farm and it was a beautiful day!
I love this one of the guys, the car has just pulled up and you can see Nick practically breaking his neck trying to see Carmen in her dress. (PS there were actually people at the wedding just noone on our side wanted to sit up the front lol) They also did things slightly differently by having the red carpet come in from in front of the "alter" instead of coming through the crowd.Don't you think she looked like a princess? I know you're supposed to say that about every bride but if you'd asked me as a little girl to describe a princess dress it would be this one, the poor dress lost a layer of tule before the end of the reception, but they were hoping to get that fixed when it gets dry cleaned. Justin & the 'other' Mrs Gould, Carmen's best friend used to be married to a distant relative of Justin & Nick's (their dad's were 2nd or 3rd cousins or something lol) so when they announced the bridal party at the reception they decided to forgo using surnames to avoid having to explain to people the whole "Justin & Tammy Gould" aren't really a couple lol. This was the only half decent photo I got of Charlotte on the day, as you can see she was very busy that day running everywhere. I wish I'd gotten a better pic because the little top has sewn on little necklaces on it and looks absolutely adorable.

Sisterhood of Scrap Rock Around the Clock - Challenge #1

Deanne posted this photo as inspiration for the first challenge on the Sisterhood of Scrap's Rock Around the Clock online crop. It looked like too much fun and I just had to play along! Here is what I came up with:
I took inspiration not only from the colours in the photo but also the polka dots on the skirt (Don't you just love that skirt, I seriously think I was born in the wrong generation!!) and the scarf around her neck (for my choice in ribbon).
The challenges are still open for entries until the 30th, so if you want to play along you still have plenty of time.

Mr & Mrs, Together Forever

We attended a wedding on valentines day & their colours were brown & pink so I decided the Berry Bliss DSP would be perfect for their card. There is actually a Together Forever stamped down the bottom corner but the flash screwed with it so you can't see it.
While the wedding was absolutely beautiful & romantic, but I wonder if the bride realised that by picking another date she could have had an extra bunch of flowers & box of chocolates per year?? lol Hopefully he's a any occasion kind of flower giver so she makes up for it, but if it was me I *need* those 2 days to be separate to have some chance of even 1 bunch per year lol

Accessories: Gold EDP, Pink Taffeta Ribbon

Together Forever Monogram

I made this card for my Brother in Law Nick and his beautiful now fiance Carmen as their engagement card. The got engaged on Saturday morning and it was all very romantic (every other guy in Parkes is now in trouble for not being that romantic kind of romatic!)
I think I went a little overboard with the embossing on this one! I don't emboss very often (and i think my little embossing powders almost died from shock!) but I do like to emboss on wedding and engagement cards as they're the types of cards that get put in keepsake boxes.
I have made the card by wheeling all over the black cardstock in versamark and embossed it with clear EDP ala Kristina Werner. For the monogram I have stamped and then embossed their initials and the '&' with Gold EDP, and then using my Stamp-a-Majig I have stamped the circle in Rose Red ink, I dabbed with a paper towel to remove any excess ink (dab don't wipe or you get smears, ask me how i know!).
I've also stamped and then embossed in black 'Together Forever' on a piece of Rose Red Prints DSP and then positioned some Hodgepodge over the top to frame it.
Carmen's a ribbon girl (she wears a ribbon in her hair every day) so it wouldn't be complete without a bit of ribbon so I added some White Taffeta to the top of the panel.
