Christmas Card Club

I just thought I'd take a quick break from preparing for my 2nd Christmas Card Club class tomorrow afternoon to share with you what we made last month (I have a customer who is doing the class 'by correspondence' - Hi Faye! - and I wanted to make sure that she had time to complete her projects before I showed them here). These classes are designed to be quick simple cards that can easily be replicated en-masse to make Christmas a breeze. We make 5 cards & 1 3-d item per month so that hopefully a large chunk of everyone's cards have been done come December.

So I thought to start us off, what could be simpler than One Sheet Wonders? I have seen One Sheet wonder tutorials around for 12x12" or the 8.5x11" sizes but none for A4 or A5, so I designed my own loosely based on other ones I have done before and a few I made up from scratch for the "Season of Joy" stamp set in the spring mini catalogue.

We also made a Box in a Bag using my version of the tutorial by the talented Diana Gibbs.

The classes are $15 per class or $5 if you purchase more than $50 worth of SU! products from me and I am more than happy to send out kits to anyone who can't make my classes in person.

Christmas is Coming!!

Don't get caught with imitation hand-made cards this Christmas, join our Christmas Card Club and make the real thing!
Between August & early December you will make 25 Christmas Cards & 5 Handmade gifts over 5 classes. (There is no obligation to attend all classes, but let’s just say there’s a little something extra for those who do!) The first class will be held on Saturday August 30th at 3.30pm. We have organised the hire of the Parkes AOG Church Hall* 7 Rees Avenue for the first class.
Classes will be $15 per class with $10 being redeemable against orders of $50 or more placed on the day.
All levels of experience from beginner to advanced are welcome to attend.
*The Christmas Card Club Classes are not a church event

Break Free from the 'e'

eScape during June!

Stampin’ Up! have declared June the month to ‘eScape’, eScape & break free from the impersonal e-world by taking the time out away from computers & mobile phones to communicate the old fashioned way…
On June 25th we are asking everyone to take the day reconnect with your ‘Wireless Network’, write a letter, send a card or meet for coffee and a chat (without your mobile phone), Tell a joke without using the ‘Forward’ button and have a laugh without LOL’s or ROFL’s.

To get you ready to eScape I will be running a Love Note’s Stamp-A-Stack…
Love Note’s are 3”x3” cards that are the perfect size for attaching to a gift, leaving under a pillow or on a desk to let someone know you care.
We will be making 8 Love Notes (4 each of 2 designs) & a coordinating box to store them in.

Saturday 21 June 3.30pm for approx 3-4 hours

at My Place (details will be given when you RSVP) or yours if you get together a group of 4 or more friends

$20 will include all materials

Stampin' Up!

Well I finally did it, I've signed up as an "Independant Stampin' Up! Demonstrator". Lisa convinced me that with the amount I spend it would be worth it a little while ago but I've still been umming & ahhing over whether to do it, but i finally took the plunge and ordered the Demonstrator Kit as my birthday present. I got my number today and hopefully the kit will be here either Tuesday or Wednesday!
I've even planned my first workshop for next Friday night! I'm so excited!!! I just feel sorry for the guinea pigs who are coming... hehehe!
If anyone wants to come along on Friday night let me know, we're making Christmas Cards and the more the merrier! Anyway, enough of the hardsell... Charlotte is now 6 weeks old and is growing so fast!... she's now over 5kg and so grown up in some ways. I think she's gonna have a little stubborn streak (don't know where she gets that from...) because when she decides she wants something you can't change her mind or distract her from it; when she's hungry she pulls this funny face and throws herself sideways as if to say 'if you don't know what I want I'll show you' lol.
