I wanted a housewarming gift for friends, so I bought a bottle of cleanskin pink sparkling wine (the bottles have a really small label and no other markings, so they are perfect to alter) and made this band for the bottle. I designed it so it slips off so when they chill it the bottle the label won't go all soggy.
I used a scallop circle punch for the flower and the small heart punch for the handmade button. I used sparkle for the sentiment because I just couldn't help myself :)
Stamps: Warm Words

Cardstock: Cottage Wall DSP, Pale Plum, Old Olive

Just My Sketches - Nick & Carmen

It's the start of a new month so that means another DT layout for Just My Sketches. I think Deanne did a great job with the sketch this time.
Do you see something on this page that I haven't used before??? I finally caved in and bought myself some thickers! I'm loving this font but I've remembered the downside to alphabet stickers, this layout used both of the "N"'s from the pack...
The thickers were actually white, but I've lightly inked them up using a sponge dauber and Close to Cocoa ink to take away from the starkness of the white next to the Vanilla in the Sweet always DSP.
Be sure to check out what the other DT girls have come up with and if you want to play along here is Deanne's sketch:
Stamps: Best Yet, Totally Tabs, Warm Words

Other: Root Beer White Thickers

Teeth

This layout is about Charlotte's first teeth, the journalling reads:

"It took you almost 9 months to get your first tooth... Then you got 5 in 2 weeks!! You were a little lopsided for a few days with the first 3 coming in on the right but the left quickly caught up."
Because the cardstock I chose is so bright I decided to keep with the sparkly white tooth theme for the embellishments so I have used clear brads from the pretties kit & the title was made up by inking up the chipboard with White Craft Ink & covered it with the white chunky glitter. I used the sparkle stamp from "Warm Words" in Whisper White Craft ink to create a photo corner.
Has anyone checked out Deanne's sketches at A Scrap Addicts Sketches yet? If you are a scrapbooker then you really need to check them out! I used her January Sketch for this one.
Stamps: Warm Words
Ink: Whisper White Craft
Cardstock: Old Olive, Bali Breeze
Accessories: White Gel Pen, Lots of Letters On Board Chipboard, Tombow Multi-Adhesive, Chunky Glitter

Welcome Jenny

I made this card for Jenny, (she is my Lisa's new downline - so kind of like a Stampin' Up! sibling) to welcome her to our team, with the addition of Jenny we are now able to become an official team recognized by SU!

I love the instant friendships that get formed through stamping you meet people who you might not normally get to know and because of a common passion you just bond instantly. And though I still haven't met Jenny in person yet but I'm sure this will be another example of this kind of friendship.
