ANZAC Day

Today is Charlotte's first ANZAC day so we went up to Memorial hill for the Dawn Service, (she's woken us up at 5am plenty of times, this is our revenge lol).
It's really important to us that she learns what these men & women have sacrificed for our country and also that although she doesn't have to agree with why we are fighting, it is still important that we respect the men & women that have fought (and still are fighting) for our country.
I feel ashamed to be Australian when I hear stories of how returned Vietnam Veterens were treated, and so I think it's important to teach children to protest the war but to honour the soldiers.

A New Look & some Blog Candy!

Do you like my new banner? I used a digital scrapbooking kit from Shabby Princess It's my first attempt at any kind of digital scrapbooking and while i had fun doing it, I still think I prefer using paper & ink! I picked the colours because I think they match (at least on my screen ;p) some of my favourite SU! colours; Wild Wasabi (New In Colour), Pumpkin Pie & Pixie Pink.

Is it just me...

... Or has anyone else noticed (and you probably haven't because you all have jobs and lives lol) that 'Mornings with Kerrie Ann' is on in the afternoons now? I only notice when I'm flicking channels but it's not just me is it? I swear i've seen it at 2pm, and that other stupid Kerrie Ann clone is on at 10, assuming those shows normally go for 2 hours it doesn't end til noon, so why are they still calling it MORNINGS with Kerrie Ann??? Shouldn't it be like Afternoons, or Lunch with Kerrie Ann, or why not just go back to the Midday Show or whatever they called it when we were little?

Allison from Stampin' When I Can was posting links on her blog so that stampers can find tutorials, sketches, blog candy & challenges etc all in one place.
Recently the subscriptions in her google reader account were getting out of hand (over 900 feeds) and she realised she couldn't do it on her own anymore, so she put out an SOS for help and formed a new blog specifically to keep track of the feeds, I have joined the team (along with Anna, Jackie, Monica, Suzy, & Theresa) & we will be helping Allison sort through all the posts (let me tell you stampers can blog!!!) and share all the fantastic creations that people are making. Transplant Successful!

I just found out here that Tricia's surgery was successful, apparently it was a difficult surgery, because of the extent of her disease, so I'd say she still has a long road ahead of her and will still need our prayers, but this is definately a huge leap in the right direction!

Pray for Tricia

She's currently being prepped for surgery for her LUNG TRANSPLANT!!!!! there can still be complications which may make it a no-go, but she's that step closer.
Also pray for the donor family, while some are celebrating some are grieving...
