This is the "girly" house warming card I made when I should have been making a more blokey one. I used an old Mojo Monday sketch (well it was current at the time, I've just been slack with posting...)
I love these stamps for housewarming cards, the little truck is just so cute!
Anyway have a great day!

Zarna Gould Designs - Just Moved

Here's a card that was custom ordered through my Zarna Gould Designs online order form. The instructions were to make a house warming card for a guy who has just bought his first home. I made one then looked at it and looked at the order again, realised it was specifically intended for a guy and decided the card was way too girly, so back to the drawing board and this is what I came up with. I'll show you the other card next time.

Stamps: Good Neighbour, Loads of Love Accessories
Ink: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey
Cardstock: Urban Garden DSP, Kraft, Whisper white
Accessories:Jumbo Eyelets, Hemp Twine, Crop-a-Dile, Paper Crimper

Sisterhood of Scrap Sketch Saturday - Driving By with a Birthday Hi

Ok, so don't look too closely at the colouring... I just couldn't get it right today. Anyway, I had to make a birthday card for a guy (don't you hate doing these??? Flowers are so pretty, why can't guys just have flowers?) and Deanne's Sketch Saturday Challenge from over at Sisterhood of Scrap seemed perfect for a guys card. I paired it with some paper from the Urban Garden DSP and Loads of Love and I think I've pulled off a manly card. I don't know if I've shown these yet but have you checked out those jumbo brads?? They're new to the spring mini and this is the smaller of the 2 sizes and they come in "Neutrals" so you get White, Vanilla, Silver and Chocolate Chip in a pack.
Stamps: Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories
Ink: Stazon, Kiwi Kiss
Watercolouring: Blender Pen with Inkpads; Baja Breeze, Basic Grey, Going Grey, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Kraft, Urban Garden DSP, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey
Accessories: Vintage Brads, Jumbo Eyelets, Round Tab Punch, Jumbo Brads (Spring Mini)

Driving by with a birthday 'Hi'!

Card #3 for our Watercolouring Terrific Techniques Class... We used the gorgeous Loads of Loves set (so glad this one is here for the long haul - pun intended, sorry) with some new In Colours; Pacific Point & Riding Hood Red. The watercolouring technique we used for this card is Blender Pens & Ink Pads. The other 2 cards for this class were pretty girly so I decided to make something suitable for a boys birthday.
Stamps: Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories
Ink: Stazon, Pacific Point
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Watercolour Paper
Accessories: Jumbo Eyelets, crimper, 1 1/4", 1 3/8" & Scallop Circle Punch
Watercolouring: Blender Pens & Inkpads; Riding Hood Red, Pacific Point, Old Olive

Loads of Love Easter Basket

I was complaining the other day that I didn't own any easter stamps and then when I was preparing for my Terrific Techniques class I spotted the Easter Eggs in the Loads of Love Accessories set, so I decided to use it for the last teacher present for Charlotte's pre-school...
I used the same template as the other day, but I added a cardstock handle instead of a ribbon one:
I scalloped both edges of the handle and added a strip of DSP (the reverse of the DSP I used on the base).
Stamps: Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, Ballet Blue, Going Grey
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Spring Showers DSP, Barely Banana, Whisper White
Accessories: Tag & Horizontal Slot Punch, Aquapainter, Pretty in Pink 1/4" Grosgrain, Soft Subtles Brads

Happy Birthday Daddy

Today is Justin's Birthday, this is the card that I made for Charlotte to give him. But I didn't do all the stamping... Check it out:
I love involving kids in making cards and presents for people, even if it's just writing their own little gibberish message with the 'translation' underneath. Since Charlotte is still a bit little this year to do something herself I decided to stamp her handprint, it's a bit smudgey, but i think that gives it even more charm.
I showed her the finished product and told her that it was from her for daddy and read what it said on the front and she got the biggest smile on her face, so I assume that meant it meets her approval.
Next year she might be old enough to help dictate what colours to use (Is it wrong to teach a child their colours as Wild Wasabi or Pumpkin Pie instead of Green and Orange? hehe)

Stamps: Best Friends Alphabet Lower, Family Phrases, Loads of Love Accessories, Charlotte's Left Hand ;0)
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue
Cardstock: Jersey Shore DSP, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Wild Wasabi DS Grosgrain Ribbon, Corner Rounder & Word Window Punches, Crafters Tool Kit (for the paper piercing)
