Happy Birthday to Nick!

My brother-in-law got given a first jump course for his 30th birthday last month, and since there aren't exactly any parachute stamps in the SU! catalogue I had to improvise, so I used the All in the Family and added a harness and parachute, by hand. Don't look too closely at the drawing, there's a reason that I use stamps...
This card is very late since I was in hospital with Jack (the first time) on Nick's birthday, but since it is so late, I was able to colour the little dude to match. Here are some pics of Nick's jump (courtesy of my Father-in-law, Bob).

Happy Birthday to You!

I finally got a chance to stamp the other day!!! (Thanks to my mum staying with us to help out.) I didn't get to make Dad's birthday card before his actual birthday, due to a certain someone deciding to arrive early and then us ending up back in hospital, so I thought that the first thing I stamped after having Jack should be dad's birthday card.
I'm a bit rusty but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Happy Birthday Amber - Take 2

Look familiar? I said yesterday that my card needed something but I wasn't sure what, anyway, the lovely Robyn suggested something shiny in the bottom corner. I agreed that it needed something in the bottom corner and it was definitely missing some sparkle, but I had nothing sparkly that would suit the bottom of the card. After thinking for a while I remembered the Tempting Turquoise brads in the bold brights set and decided on some glitter on the balloons. Thanks Robyn I'm a million times happier with this card now!

I need to make a birthday card for one of Charlotte's little friends, I tried to go for bright and happy, (which I nailed) but I don't think this card works...
I haven't ticked her name off my to-do list yet.
